Sunday 7 May……Good day in the pool welcoming young adventurers into diving. Well done to Dan on his PADI Scuba session and to Chloe on starting her PADI Open Water course, well done also to Sophie on her PADI Skin Diver/Snorkeller session.
Saturday 6 May…..Busy day in the school today, well done to Mike and Steve on their PADI Nitrox course, and well done to Poppy on her PADI Open Water course today. Missed the splendour of the Coronation today as working, but my grandaughter Lyla obviously didn’t and couldn’t have been closer.
Friday 5 May…..Looking forward to a busy bank holiday weekend of teaching, this is more like it, a strong start to the season. Completed my IDEST Composite Cylinder testing certification today, which adds to our testing of Steel and Aluminium Cylinders in the workshop. Well done to Marti and Greg on their PADI Open Water course yesterday/today and to Kieran on his Scuba session.
Weds 3 May……..Well, it was coffee (Port n St’board)and bics before the diving tonight, waiting for it to dusk up, not quite dark until close to 9pm, and a full moon too. Viz was good, and food in the pub to follow, good to see peeps taking advantage of the lighter evenings and night dives You really need to come on down !
Tues 2 May…..Normally on May day weekend the roads are packed, certainly the M5 to Plymouth would be gridlocked on Friday, but no, sailed through all the way, and back yesterday, nil traffic !! Certainly makes dive trios to the Coast a breeze, even at Bank holidays. Will be trying out the new APEKS DSX computer this week, now in stock, and feeding back, it’s certainly a step in the future.
Weds 26 April….Well, it’s been a great few days, diving was great, and only one day lost to high winds and avec La mer une peu agite. A little early in the season for the array of marine life down here in S.France, I think we may calendarise a trip for early September here.
Sunday 23 April……Blue skies, sunshine and still waters, the Cote D’Azur at its best. Stunning topography in this region and clear waters, still warming up this early in the season. In contact with our regular dive centre just over the border, Medes Islands trip is on for first week of june, for those of you who can join us.
Friday 21 April……A quick dash out to S.France for a few days to sample some new dive sites for our trips this year. At just £16 with Ryanair, it’s stunningly inexpensive and so easy for long weekend dive trips. Going to be diving with some of our existing dive centre/ partners and a couple of new ones, back soon to update !
Monday 17 April……A weekend of teaching in the pool, well done to Claire and Mike on their PADI Open Water referral course, and have a great time in the Maldives. Just arrived, a consignment of Aqualung and APEKS dive equipment to the shop, some new shiny bits for the start of the season, just awaiting the new APEKS DSX computers delivery now, will feature its capabilities on here, so you can see for yourselves.
Friday 14 April….Take the opportunity now of the Wednesday evening night dives at Stoney. There’s time in the evening now for a daylight dive after work, followed by an exhilarating night dive. Also allows an increased timetable for peeps to learn to dive in Leicester. Build up your diving experience, join us for the Wednesday meetings, 1st and 3rd Weds of the month, come on down !
