The PADI Assistant Instructor Course is the first part of the
PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC).
Being certified as a PADI Assistant Instructor allows you to gain more experience before continuing on to complete the PADI
OWSI Program (the second part of the IDC).
Undertaking the PADI AI Course gives you the chance to develop
and refine your teaching skills for confined water, knowledge development and open water situations.
Certification as a PADI Assistant Instructor allows you the
opportunity to develop your teaching skills by working as an instructional assistant on PADI courses.
In addition, you'll be able to teach a range of PADI programs,
such as the Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty and the Project AWARE Specialty.
Our PADI Assistant Instructor Courses are conducted in two
formats - either part time (2 weekends) or full time (4 consecutive days). See our Instructor Development Course Calendar
for more information on course dates.
