this must be one of the most sustained cold spells for February for a number of years. Luckily we are classroom and pool based for a few days, looks unlikely to break 5 degrees until Monday at least. Grim n grimmer.. Hey ho, still living the dream !
Thurs 21 Feb…Only just finished unloading the van and the BCDs n suits were crispy cold, near frozen, after a busy pool session with the scouts tonight, well done all and thanks with the help. Now ready for ….Zzzzzzzzz !
Weds 20 Feb….Ouch, it’s cold again, luckily in the warmth teaching PADI EFR First aid course, back in the water later in the week. We have another drysuit course running at weekend for any more interested.
Sunday 17 Feb…A busy day of comings n goings, well done and congrats to Ryan in achieving a dry dive, and to Neil for investing in his diving future. Well done to the brave bunch for testing the temp at Stoney Cove today; Kim, Alex, Dean and Joe. Well done to me for keeping dry n warm and witnessing the discomfort of others.
Thurs 13 Feb….Well the Met office was pretty accurate what a super day, but for us…we were inside, filling oodles of cylinders, packing equipment and loading the van in preparation for open water dives. Ventured out at lunchtime to be met by rain hey ho. Lots of diving ahead of us over the next week.
Weds 12 Feb…Welcome today to Nicola and Lauren and of course Joe back again, good to see a sense of adventure there. Snow is back again, the Met claimed it was getting warmer, we live in hope !
