Friday 13 January….So, a good day despite Fri 13

Friday 13 January….So, a good day despite Fri 13 and nothing but a sprinkling of the white stuff here. As a reminder to Amy and David, who phoned to see if pool training was still on this morning, we do still teach in the snow as you can see from our past Navigation course at the Cove. Lots of diving still going on, and winter dives mean great viz and fewer people about. Apologies for delay of January newsletter, we are awaiting price confirmation on 2 of our trips, it will be out in next couple of days.

Thursday 12 January….Apologies, we have been busy with late nights

Thursday 12 January….Apologies, we have been busy with late nights getting ready for our shop move, and very little time to post on FB. Thought this photo would stir the 20 adventurers who are on our liveaboard in only 2 weeks, just napping here between diveson our last liveaboard. We have one space on a PADI Rescue Diver course in February, if anyone is up for the challenge?

Weds 4 January….Showing our commitment

Weds 4 January….Showing our commitment for the first Night dive of 2017 at the Cove tonight, cold and becoming crisp, as the temperature is dropping. Nevertheless, daytime diving is very attractive, superb viz and great fun, so come on down and join us. We now have stock of the new Apeks MTX-R extreme cold water regulator, new to the market. It breathes a dream, if your face lights up like ours (see photo), then give us a buzz and become a proud owner, like me, (Peter requested no publicity for his). In to the Cove pub for food and a warm now !

You may want to shake off the cobwebs now with a refreshing plunge in the water, we have lots of diving throughout January up to our liveaboard on 29 of the month. We look forward to your continued support in 2017, so we have constructed a schedule of tempting dive trips for UK and abroad. Weds 28 December…No shortage of divers today at the Cove

Weds 28 December…No shortage of divers today at the Cove, very nearly on top car park this afternoon. Good to see so many taking to the water. Our team were not perturbed by the heavy frost and were more than happy to sneak a dive in between Xmas/New Year. Thanks Peter and Julian for the goodies we feasted upon today.

Friday 23 December….No diving today as we wind down for Xmas Eve

Friday 23 December….No diving today as we wind down for Xmas Eve, and recover from last nights festivities. Photos from last night show almost the full old Instructor team, and Stoney Cove Pub (Nemo’s Bar), but not as you know it, live music, dancing, and a great night out. Thanks to Sue n Martin et al at Nemos for a memorable night of festivity again. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, have a super Christmas, and hope to see you all before, over and into the New Year. We are still open and diving throughout.

Thursday 24 November….A day off from teaching

Thursday 24 November….A day off from teaching, so headed North for a dip and undertake a search exercise, video to follow. Water temp is falling off now, so a real dream diving a Full Face Mask, remember we are one of only a small number of centres to offer the FFM Speciality. New range/stock of drysuits arrived today, so if you want to make the best of the UK diving year then why not join us for a course, or invest in some comfort?
