Thursday 11 June….Trying to keep up with GMT

Thursday 11 June….Trying to keep up with GMT, but a few hours behind after arriving back from Egypt at 3 am today. What should be yesterdays post is here, a litle late. Welcome back to Donald, who has joined us again for his PADI Rescue Diver course, and well done to Sofia and Laura on the first 2 dives of their PADI Open Water course at Stoney. An early start to Friday for some of us, and very cold after 40-45 degress all of the last week, so Brrrr. The dive dog always manages to pose for the photos, but is either mooning or cocking his leg, this time apparently looking normal, has in fact put his tongue out, his post will be advertised soon.

Weds 10 June…Diving finished this morning,

Weds 10 June…Diving finished this morning, with a well clear 24 hours before we are back in UK. Some disruption to diving here with the African Congress meeting here in Sharm, great news for the international standing of Egypt and building its mark on this continent, and a larger African trading block, its all good news for the future. Meanwhile in the UK…Congratulations and well done to new PADI EFR/First Aiders; Tony, Chris, Sarah, Carole, John, Rob, David, Johnny, Andy, Rob, Lewis, David and Shane who certified today, well done guys.

Tuesday 9 June… Am sure you that the UK is battling its own heatwave

Tuesday 9 June… Am sure you that the UK is battling its own heatwave, but we breached 47 C today in Sharm, staying in the water is the only release. Eagle rays and Blue Spotted Rays in abundance, and oodles of life here. We will be wrapping up the diving in the morning, ready for some UK training to be done. You should come join us, there’s lots of diving going on, at Stoney, the UK coast and abroad.

Monday 8 June…. Still a scorcher at 41C out here in Sharm, a day off from diving, so time to catch up with old friends photo, fellow Lawyer Yasser, and Egypts famous Morgan Freeman, great to see them both again today. Back in Uk, Em is squaring 12 PADI EFR/First aiders together, shame to be inside. Anyone else ready to undertake their PADI Advanced course, we have a course running every week for the next 3 weeks.

Thursday 4 June….With half of the team just landed in Egypt

Thursday 4 June….With half of the team just landed in Egypt, the other half are slaving here in the UK. An early morning session saw a group of young intrepid explorers take to the water on their Discover Scuba experience, well done to Gemma, Gabriel, Sam and Finley, who were young naturals on SCUBA. No doubt there will be up to the minute postings of the Red Sea trip this week on FB, and no doubt more cheesy videos….stay tuned. That is of course, in addition to the posts of those working hard in the School here in the UK. Just had to add Amanda’s powdering up face at Stoney cove, looks like prep for the production of the Mikado.

Tues 2 June…Photo of a very apt sunset tonight over Fitou in S.France

Tues 2 June…Photo of a very apt sunset tonight over Fitou in S.France after a super days diving, only the cars to pack and food mmm. Meanwhile back in the UK, some of us here have been busy in the workshop with suit repairs sheltering from wind n showers. The UK is forecast a heatwave to come, so come diving, why not try the PADI Underwater Archaeology Speciality course, get involved in some real work underwater, and learn some illuminating facts in the theory sessions.

Monday 1 June…For some of the team its 28C and landing in S.France

Monday 1 June…For some of the team its 28C and landing in S.France for a couple of days diving, photos show the sad face this evening of finding the dive boat was not as described, but then happy face, when we found the right pontoon and the right dive boat for tomorrow. Whilst some of AQT abroad is enjoying sunshine, we are bracing ourselves for gales and rain. Still, not to worry too much as its Egypt at the end of the week. Still lots of diving going on here in the UK, so come on down and join us.
