Wednesday 20 January….Oooh back to the Cove, tonight is Night Diving, and it is shrouded in mist, looks like a Scottish Loch. Have included some photos as it looks spookey by torchlight, makes a new Distintive Speciality…ghost dive. Retired to the Pub for a warm by the open fire and a bite to eat. Good to see Claire and Myles who dropped by today, stocking up ready for the Red Sea trip, only 8 days to go.
Monday 18 January….Change of scheduled events today means a last minute trip to the coast, a couple of days of sea air mmm very invigorating. counting the days (9 i believe) left for our Red Sea liveaboard with 22 of our friends, warm water and unbroken sunshine. Lots of courses running right up to our departure, just drop us an email or buzz us.
Saturday 16 January….Despite the ice and frost today, we still managed a bumper group at the Cove, well done to Cathal and Darryl, and to Tom, Kris and Billy. Meanwhile today back at the school/pool (and in the warmth) another Open Water course running thanks to Abby n Joe, welcome and well done to Craig. Thanks too to Julian for his stewardship and help around the Cove, and of course the cakies ! We have a PADI Wreck Diver course starting Saturday if anyone else is interested, A space has come available on the Search n Recovery course starting Monday.
Thursday 14 January….Oooooh, the air was certainly a little fresher today at the Cove. congratulations and well done to J in qualifying on his PADI Drysuit Speciality course today. It was nice to warm up afterwards in the Pub with hot tea and a meal mmmm. We have a couple of Nitrox courses running next week and the week after (they’re classroom based) if you haven’t already completed one, and of course the PADI Equipment Specialist is running, so time to get the spanners out, and see how it all works, simply ring us !
Weds 13 January….Bathed in sunshine for part of the team today, taking to the waters again, whilst others of the team were warm n snug teaching EFR/First Aid courses inside. Photo of a very well turned out firat aiders today, well done to Jim, Stephen, Alyn, Neil, John, Alex and Roger on their skills today. Well done to Ed today on his PADI dSMB course today at the Cove. We are diving almost every day, through until our Red Sea dive trip/liveaboard at the end of January mmm,, so come and join us.
Monday 11 January….A couple of fresh dives this morning at the cove, congratulations and well done go Ed on his first UK dives and Drysuit Speciality today. Come on down and join us, theres lots of diving and courses running throughout January.
Sunday 10 January…A very busy weekend of diving at the school, welcome and well done today to Ed and J on their PADI Drysuit course, and to Simon on his Discover Scuba experience today. Nice to see Cathal who dropped in and undertaking more diving with us. Thanks to Julian and Joe for their help teaching again this weekend. Specialities this month include; Wreck, Deep, Navigator, search n Recovery, Equipment Specialist, Niteox and Night diver, so come on down and join us !
Friday 8 January….We are in Paris today, we wanted to attend the French Dive Show at the Salon de Plongee, and also make a symbolic visit to Paris in light of recent tragic events. We met some great people at the show, Ramon, some of you will remember from L’Estartit was there, and a big thenks to Dan from Switzerland, who we met on the train was a great help to us, Dan has dived all over the world…including the Cove. We made some very useful contacts at a variety of French & Spanish dive centres/sites, this will add to our list of dive trips in 2016, which we will publish next week.
Tuesday 29 December….Another bumper day at the Cove, seemed like a weekend dive, so many peeps about. Have included a snippet video https://youtu.be/FRWRmg3r6n4 of last 2 days diving, congratulations on the double today to Fraser, on his PADI Drysuit qualification and Open Water diver. A big thanks to Julian and Joe for their help yesterday and today, and the choccies. lots of diving going on, so come on down. Anyone else for Rescue Diver/ Advanced and/or Wreck diver courses we have running over the next 2 weeks ? Just mail or buzz us.
Monday 28 December….Well that was Christmas, even the dive dog looks glum (photo). A busy day at the Cove, along with the rest of the country today it seemed. Well done to Fraser on his PADI Open Water course, and to Amelia and Darryl on their PADI Navigation Speciality. Thanks to Julian and Joe for their help today and to Sophie, who made a guest star appearance for 3 dives oooh, in winter too. Good to see Dan, Paul n Pete taking to the water today.
